Two familiar names will join the University of Minnesota, Morris football coaching staff this season. Grant Harding and Mark Ekren will work as linebacker coach and special teams and defensive backs coach, respectively.

The bleachers are nearly complete and work continues on the press box/concession stand building.

2006 Football Skills Camp

Four Affiliate members have been admitted to the St. Louis Intercollegiate Conference and will begin play in the conference in the 2008 football season.

Crews began moving dirt on Monday, May 15 as work has begun on the new joint use football field for the University of Minnesota-Morris and Morris Area high school. Work will continue through out the summer and she schedule has the field ready for use by September 1st.

University of Minnesota-Morris Head Football Coach Ken Crandall has announced that 16 student-athletes have said they will play football for the Cougars beginning with the 2006 season. Of the players committed, 14 are high school seniors, while two are transfers. All 9 are from Minnesota.

This is an invitation to anyone that might be interested in joining the UMM Cougar Football in May of 2007 for a beautiful trip to Italy . We will have an informational meeting with a representative from Global Football on Friday April 21st at 4 pm in Science Auditorium.

The 2005 Don Hansen National Weekly Football Gazette NCAA Division III West All-Region Football teams have been announced and University of Minnesota-Morris senior linebacker Scott Rieland has been named Honorable Mention.

The 2005 Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) recently announced the all-conference and post-season awards for football and the University of Minnesota-Morris has 15 players named to the all-conference teams.

Morris , MN – The University of Minnesota-Morris has announced that Randi Peterson has been named as the new Head Women’s Basketball coach for the Cougars and that Raven Battle has been named as the defensive coordinator for the Cougar football team.
