Heather Pennie begins her sixth season as Head Fastpitch Coach at the University of Minnesota, Morris. Pennie received her Bachelors Degree from UMM in 1994. She was a four year letter winner in volleyball and softball.

During her pitching career at UMM Pennie was named to the Northern Sun Intercollegiate All Conference team three times and currently holds the school records in strikeouts, ERA, and wins for a single season and career.

Pennie did her graduate work at Northern State University (1996-1997) where she received a graduate assistantship working with the volleyball and softball teams. She is also the head volleyball coach at UMM.

A native of Villard Minnesota, Pennie was a standout high school athelete at Villard Public school, which is now Minnewaska Area High school.

Entering the 2004 season Coach Pennie was 22-141-1.
