In this program, participants will be able to enjoy much of the historic and cultural sites of London during the day and attend at least four theatre presentations in the evening. The theatre presentations will all be located in the West End theatre district of London.
Wikipedia describes the West End theatre as a popular term for mainstream professional theatre in London or sometimes more specifically for shows staged in the large theatres of London. Along with New York's Broadway theatre, West End theatre is usually considered to represent the highest level of commercial theatre in the English speaking world.

Tap Payne teaches technical theatre courses in the Humanities Division of the University of Minnesota, Morris. He has been leading UMM students in study abroad activities since 1986. He has taken UMM students to England, Scotland, Italy, Cameroon, Mali, and the Ivory Coast.
Tap received his MFA from the University of Oregon and has been teaching at UMM since 1979. Besides his own study abroad classes, Tap has helped to develop the study abroad activities of the UMM campus through a Ford Foundation grant and through the recently completed Bush grant on the Twin Cities campus.
