Capital Normal University (Beijing)

Capital Normal University in Beijing, China, offers a year-long or single semester program in all courses offered in English for undergraduates. However, those students fluent in Chinese may enroll in courses offered by Capital Normal University subject to usual university regulations and policies.

Under the term of the exchange, student pay UMM tuition, fees and lodging costs which covers equivalent costs at Capital normal University. Students are expected to pay for travel, meals, books, international health insurance and personal expenses.

Students choose from any courses taught in English for undergraduates. Typical credits: 24-30 per year; 12-15 per semester.

The program is open to any student regardless of major; study in China is typically done in the sophomore or junior year. Previous study of Chinese language is encouraged but not required. Students are expected to have a solid academic average (at least a 3.0) and a clear statement of purpose for studying in China. Applications are due February 15.

Capital Normal University (CNU) is a comprehensive institution of higher learning, embracing sciences, liberal arts, engineering, management, law, education, foreign languages and arts, a key university of the Beijing municipality and a major training base particularly for teachers training i Beijing.

CNU boasts 17 colleges and departments, undergraduate specialties. All specialties of CNU are open to international students.

Being responsible for recruiting international students for CNU, College of International Education enrolls short and log-term Chinese language students.
