"It is a great, fairly inexpensive way to get out of Morris for an extended period of time." Patti Keillor
I became interested in study abroad through a friend, but I had always wanted to take opportunities provided by my school to go abroad.
|
I funded my trip by working all summer, but the school I taught at provided a free place to stay and that covered a big expense. |
While in Hong Kong, we had the opportunity to travel to Beijing and Thailand--this was at our own volition and at our own expense, but well worth it. The teaching was interesting, a good experience and would be good for any education major. The food in Hong Kong was GREAT and the transportation system was very easy. |

My study abroad experience made me look at the way I live in America and appreciate it more. It also helped to diversify my learning and see things from an opposite perspective. |
Study abroad is a great, fairly inexpensive way to get out of Morris for an extended period of time. There is probably no other time in your life when you can be on vacation for three months without work and with free lodging. And to top it off, it will at the same time enhance your view of the world by giving you a view of how other people live. It is more than just a sight-seeing vacation. |
