Qualifications/Credits/Grading

At the time of application, you should be a high school sophomore or junior ranking in the top 20% of your class. Additionally requirements for each class are:

  • “The Reemerging Threat of Infectious Disease” (completion of one year of biology)
  • “Dissent and Freedom of Expression” (one year of high school English and one year of U.S. history)
  • "Unleashing Your Creativity: Words, Movement and Images " (one year of high school English)

Each course carries two University of Minnesota, Morris semester credits (interdisciplinary studies) on the S-N (satisfactory/no credit) grading system. Both courses apply to UMM degree requirements and are transferable to other colleges.

For all courses, students are expected to complete pre-course reading assignments, which will be mailed about three weeks before the program begins.
