UMM Consultative Committee
Minutes 7 Sept 05
 

Present:  Brenda Boever, Pam Gades, Judy Korn, Jared Warren, Roland
Guyotte, Michelle Page, Margaret Kuchenreuther, Gretchen Minton, Geoff
Sheagley (Rebecca Webb came later).
 

Membership issues
Replacement of ineligible members.  It was announced that Boever and Gades
both need to be replaced due to their recent ineligibility (Boever is now
a director; Gades was elected to the Executive Committee).  It was
determined that they could stay for the remainder of the meeting, then it
was determined that Gades does not have to be replaced as per the UMM
Constitution. 

Student members.  Two additional student members are to be elected on 14
September.
 

Minutes.  Minutes from the 2 September 2005 meeting were approved.
 

Chancellor's Search Committee.  The list of possible members for this
committee, constructed at the 2 September meeting, was refined.
 
Upcoming  agenda items
Memo re. staff hiring.  Webb reminded the committee that she had submitted
a memo at the end of the last meeting of spring semester.  This comment
was made after the 2 September meeting had adjourned.  This will be an
agenda item in an upcoming meeting.


Items from the VCAA/Dean.  The Dean seeks CC input on the reorganization
of the Advising Office and on the Office of International Programs.
