MINUTES OCTOBER 27, NOVEMBER 3, NOVEMBER 10, 
AND NOVEMBER 17, 1998 MEETINGS

The Campus Consultative Committee assembled on October 27, 1998 at 3:00 
pm. in Prairie Lounge. The order of business was as follows:
1. Approval of the October 20, 1998 meeting minutes 
2. Organization of the Consultative Committee (contd.)
3. Agenda Items for 1998-99 Academic Year (contd.) 

0. No agenda items added or modified on the tentative agenda. 

1. The minutes of the October 20, 1998 meeting approved unanimously with 
some minor changes.

2. The Committee started to discuss the organization of the Consultative 
Committee, and decided not to adopt any organizational structure at this 
point.

3. 
o The Committee placed a high priority to Chancellor Search and decided 
to invite Professor Andy Lopez (the Chair of the Search Committee), 
Interim Chancellor Sam Schuman, and Professor Ted Underwood (the Chair of 
the Consultative Committee at the time of the search).
o The Committee discussed a request from an UMM community member on 
"delayed pay" and agreed to direct this request to the Vice Chancellor of 
Financial Affairs Cathleen Brannen.

o On the October 27, November 3, November 10, and November 17, 1998 
Informative Meetings, the Committee met with the Professor Andy Lopez 
(the Chair of the Search Committee), Interim Chancellor Sam Schuman, and 
Professor Ted Underwood (the Chair of the Consultative Committee at the 
time of the search) and discussed the issues related with the Chancellor 
Search.
