involve discussion and production of installation and public art. Each
student will complete three large scale art projects and one final
collaborative installation that will be exhibited in the HFA Gallery.
Includes exploration of interior space, exterior space, video art, and
other contemporary media. Rationale

through artist's books. Designed for students who have a working knowledge
of the basic principles and skills of art such as drawing, 2D and 3D
design, composition, and color theory. Rationale

exploration of the rich history of functional and decorative tile,
including mosaics. Students will design and build their own ceramic tile,
which will, after firing, be used to construct tabletops and wall-hung
murals. A low-fire clay body, as well as stoneware and porcelain, will be
available for tile construction. Rationale

exploration of contemporary mural art through reading, writing and
