IS A NEW COURSE WHICH PROVIDES A THEORETICAL BASIS FOR UNDERSTANDING HOW
DANCE FUNCTIONS IN MODERN SOCIETY AS WELL AS ITS CULTURAL ROOTS AND THE
HISTORICAL CONTEXTS FOR ITS VARIED PATHS OF DEVELOPMENT. THIS COURSE IS
ESSENTIAL FOR STUDENTS PURSUING AN AREA OF CONCENTRATION OR EMPHASIS IN
