THIS COURSE IS BEING OFFERED IN RESPONSE TO A PERCEIVED NEED FOR ESL INSTRUCTION AT UMM, MADE ALL THE MORE URGENT BY A SUBSTANTIAL INCREASE IN INTERNATIONAL STUDENT ENROLLMENT OVER A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME DURING THE SUMMER.

THIS COURSE IS INTENDED TO SUPPORT INTERNATIONAL OR NON-NATIVE ENGLISH SPEAKING STUDENTS WHO ARE NEW TO AMERICAN RHETORICAL STYLES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THE AMERICAN UNIVERSITY CLASSROOMS.
