Please summarize the intent of the proposed changes.
In order to enable German majors to complete and round
out the major in their chosen field, the German discipline is accepting several
courses in history toward the German major and minor. Students do some of the
readings in those history courses in German and write papers for those courses
in German.
What
are the financial or staffing implications of this proposal for the Discipline?
Lack of
complete staffing in German has necessitated drawing on the resources of
another discipline to enable students in German to complete their chosen major
program.
What
are the financial or staffing implications of this proposal for other
Disciplines?
none. German students are taking
history courses for history credit.
