New: SINCE 1993, 357 STUDENTS FROM UMM, UMD, UMTC, AND OTHER INSTITUTIONS HAVE COMPLETED ELTAP ASSIGNMENTS IN 26 COUNTRIES.  A REVIEW OF THIS PROGRAM IN 2005-2006 RESULTED IN PROGRAM UPDATES.

1) OFFER A FOUR WEEK, SIX SEMESTER HOUR OPTION; CONTINUE THE TEN WEEK, 12 SEMESTER HOUR OPTION; AND OFFER A 13 CREDIT OPTION FOR UMTC STUDENTS WHO REQUIRE 13 CREDITS IN ORDER TO MAINTAIN FULL TIME STUDENT STATUS (ADDITIONAL COURSE WORK REQUIRED).  THESE ALTERNATIVES PROVIDE FLEXIBILITY THROUGH WHICH MORE STUDENTS CAN PARTICIPATE.

2) REVISED COURSE SYLLABI AND REQUIREMENTS HAVE BEEN CREATED.  THESE REVISIONS OFFER PARTICIPANTS A MORE COMPREHENSIVE BASIS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF UNDERSTANDINGS, ABILITIES, AND DISPOSITIONS THROUGH GUIDED REFLECTION ON THEIR ELTAP CROSS CULTURAL LIVING/LEARNING EXPERIENCE.
