Assessment and
Goals: |
The
goal of this course is to allow our students to gain more experience in the
classroom and to refine their own skills by helping run review sessions, lead
discussions or help with an instructor's research. The
student will write a short paper to reflect on his or her own strengths that
emerged during this experience, as well as on the areas in which he or she
could improve. The students will also be graded on their professionalism in
the classroom and in their dealings with other students. |
|
WE
CURRENTLY EMPLOY SOME WORKSTUDY STUDENTS AS TEACHING ASSISTANTS IN OUR
COURSES. WE WOULD LIKE TO EXTEND THIS OPPORTUNITY TO OTHER STUDENTS WHO MAY
NOT BE WORK STUDY ELIGIBLE, BUT WHO WOULD CONTRIBUTE GREATLY TO THE CLASSROOM
ENVIRONMENT AND WOULD STAND TO BENEFIT FROM SUCH AN EXPERIENCE. |
