The purpose of the course is to expose students to the area of psychology and behavioral science that deals with how organizations hire, train and develop employees.

THE AREA OF INDUSTRIAL/ORGANIZATIONAL PSYCHOLOGY HAS TWO AREAS. THE FIRST AREA IS ORGANIZATIONAL PSYCHOLOGY IN WHICH WE ALREADY HAVE A COURSE. THE SECOND AREA IS PERSONNEL PSYCHOLOGY IN WHICH WE DO NOT CURRENTLY HAVE A COURSE. THEREFORE, THIS COURSE WILL ADD TO OUR OFFERING IN I/O PSYCHOLOGY. THIS COURSE IS NEEDED BECAUSE IT ALSO ADDS TO THE HUMAN RESOURCE TRACK IN MANAGEMENT AS WELL AS THE PSYCHOLOGY PROGRAM.
