THE STUDIO ART DISCIPLINE IS BROADENING THE OFFERINGS OF NON-MAJOR LEVEL STUDIOS BEYOND FIRST YEAR DRAWING (ARTS 1070/1080) TO MEET REQUESTS FROM NON-MAJOR STUDENTS WHO SEEK TO ENROLL IN MAJOR-LEVEL COURSES BUT LACK NECESSARY PREREQUISITES AND SKILLS TO BE SUCCESSFUL.  COURSES UNDER THE VISUAL STUDIES FOR NON-MAJORS HEADINGS WILL INTRODUCE A WIDER VARIETY OF MEDIA (OFTEN ALIGNED WITH A PROFESSOR’S SPECIALTY IN THE DISCIPLINE) AND BE MORE ATTRACTIVE TO STUDENTS LOOKING FOR COURSES TO FULFILL THE ARTISTIC PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENT.
