DUE TO THE PREREQUISITE MATH CONSTRAINTS, STUDENTS GET LITTLE EXPOSURE TO ADVANCED OR MODERN TOPICS IN PHYSICS BEFORE THEIR JUNIOR YEAR. THIS CLASS SERVES TO EXPOSE INTERESTED STUDENTS TO MODERN POPULAR TOPICS IN PHYSICS IN AN INFORMAL SETTING. THIS EXPOSURE ALSO SERVES TO ASSIST STUDENTS IN DECIPHERING WHAT SUB-DISCIPLINE (S) OF PHYSICS EXIST AND WHERE THEIR INTERESTS LIE. 1 CR COURSE DOES NOT MEET GENED REQUIREMENT.
