Rationale for |
THIS CLASS SERVES TO EXPOSE INTERESTED STUDENTS TO MODERN POPULAR TOPICS IN PHYSICS IN AN INFORMAL SETTING. THIS EXPOSURE ALSO SERVES TO ASSIST STUDENTS IN DECIPHERING WHAT SUB-DISCIPLINE (S) OF PHYSICS EXIST AND WHERE THEIR INTERESTS LIE IN PREPARATION FOR CHOOSING A TOPIC FOR SENIOR SEMINAR. IT ALSO REPRESENTS OPPORTUNITY TO PRACTICE LITERATURE SEARCHES, AND ORAL PRESENTATIONS WITHIN THE SPECIFIC CONTEXT OF THE PHYSICS DISCIPLINE. 1 CR COURSE DOES NOT MEET GENED REQUIREMENT. |
