Narrative Summary

If individual course changes are part of an overall plan for change within the discipline's curriculum, please summarize the intent of the changes in the space below. Use additional sheets as needed.

Drop one honors course, the fall introductory chemistry course. The major thrust of the change for this catalog is to convert advanced course material that has been taught in several topics courses (4XXX, Advanced Topics in ___ Chemistry) to specific courses with descriptions and credit values. In addition, we are seeking to change several existing advanced courses from three to four credits to make them uniform.

Financial Implications

Are there any financial or staffing implications of this proposal? If so, explain.

No.
