Engl 3012. Advanced Fiction Writing. (ArtP; 4 cr; prereq #; offered when feasible)

For experienced writers. Focus on developing skills and mastering creative and technical elements of writing fiction.

 

II. Rationale (see instructions):

Previously, advanced creative writing included both genres. Students have requested a more intensive study of one genre or the other; thus, the English discipline has created two separate 3000 level advanced creative writing classes to cover the two major genres, poetry and fiction.

Students’ drafts and revisions will be monitored throughout the semester; end-of-semester portfolio will be evaluated.
