Courses with grades of D may not be used to meet the major requirements. Courses offered in English do not count toward the major. One cross-listed French course taught in English (such as Fren 1041, 1302, 1303, 1304, or 1311) may be counted toward the major, provided that students complete written work for the class in French. Students may count Fren 4991—Independent Study in French Abroad and Fren 3061—French Language and Culture in Paris toward the major.
