An introduction to the functional areas of human resource management through the use of case studies. Topics in Human resource management; legal issues, planning, recruitment, selection, and training, evaluation and compensation.

 

II. Rationale (see instructions):

This course will serve as a required , introductory course in the newly proposed Organizations and Human Resource area of emphasis. The revised course description expands the subject areas discussed in the class to provide a comprehensive introduction.

Law as it relates to the commercial world, including the legal environment, federal regulation, contracts, agency, sales.

The change in prerequisite comes at the request of the Pre-law advisor. The intent is to increase access to the course for pre-law students.
