Items discussed:

Feb. 21 CW Winter Event publicity is ready to go. Amy did outstanding job. Will work toward having new brochure ready to distribute at the event.  Maggie will do all the catering/decorating arrangements. Funding for reception, above what has been budgeted, will come from carry-over monies.

Proposed quotes for the brochure. Decided on one from Maya Angelou and one from Willa Cather.  Brochure will be main agenda item for Feb. 15th meeting.

CW is co-sponsoring with the Chancellor’s Office a visit by Shelia Wellstone to discuss the “International Trafficking of Girls” --date has not been determined. Hopefully April.

Seminar Series “Art Appreciation” deferred until next year.

CW will co-sponsor visiting artist Gail Wagner who will speak in conjunction with the Feminist Perspectives HFA Gallery exhibit opening later this month.

Progress is being made on the Nursing Mother’s Room.  Looks like it will be ready for use at the end on the month.  Key distribution will be handled by Human Resources (Sarah Mattson).  Thanks to subcommittee and plant services for moving this forward.

Women’s Week 2003 co-sponsorship request was discussed.  Carol McCannon provided historical perspective as well as information about the potential speakers for next year. The board agreed to commit $2000 toward the Women’s Week keynote speaker for 2003.

Clare will write a letter to CAC and WRC reaffirming and clarifying the Commission on Women’s commitment and support of this vital campus activity.
