The GenEdWeb program (General Education courses on the Web) of the University of Minnesota, Morris (UMM) welcomes Minnesota PSEO high school students, new students, current students and non-traditional students to participate in online learning. GenEdWeb makes quality education available through web-based college instruction, small classes, and interactive virtual classroom environments.

Since 1997, GenEdWeb has served online students around the world by offering liberal arts courses that are traditionally taken in the first two years of college (lower division), require no previous study on the college level, and are taught by UMM faculty.

Courses in the GenEdWeb program provide a foundation for undergraduate study by building skills and knowledge in diverse subject areas. Each course will fulfill at least one general education requirement, is one semester in length, and earns credits which may be applied toward a degree program at UMM or other colleges in Minnesota and throughout the U.S.A. Courses are transferable to other colleges following guidelines of the institution evaluating your transfer credits.

In 2000, GenEdWeb was featured as an Exemplary Instructional Technology Program at the University of Minnesota by Vice President Robert Bruininks Office, the Office of Distributed Education, and the Digital Media Center. It was selected as an outstanding, comprehensive distance learning program that serves undergraduates from all over the state of Minnesota and beyond. GenEdWeb is supported by Continuing Education on the Morris Campus and the University of Minnesota, Morris.

The University of Minnesota, Morris is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
