Echoes of Cry of the Marsh Documentary

In the late 1960s, Bob Hartkopf inspired thousands of young ecologists with his original
1970 documentary, Cry of the Marsh. This short documentary presents a startling witness to
the devastated wildlife and plant life, sacrificed in the name of modern farming.

Forty years later, Bob's story is revisited with a feature-length documentary Echoes of Cry of the Marsh,
to explore the issues of land management, ecology and the impact of large scale agriculture on the environment.

Echoes of Cry of the Marsh is a production of the University of Minnesota Morris
