Subject: Technology Fee Allocations for 1998-99

After an open proposal process and broad consultation with students, faculty, and staff, and on behalf of the MCSA Forum, we ask your approval for student technology fee funds to be allocated to the following projects for the 1998-99 academic year. The projects have been listed in descending order of cost, and they refer to the proposal numbers from the attached complete listing of all proposals made. Please see the original proposals for details on how these allocations are to be spent.

1. Replace all 25 computers in Computing Services lab on 3rd floor of Briggs Library. Proposal #6a, submitted by John Bowers.

2. Replace all 21 computers in MRC 10 lab/classroom used primarily for Math classes. Matching funds are being provided through the Division of Science and Math and the Minority Student Program. Proposal #29, submitted by Peh Ng.

3. Two portable multimedia cart systems to be used in classrooms. Systems consist of data/video projector, IBM and Macintosh computers, and video cassette player. Proposal #25a, submitted by Roger Boleman.
