Subject: Student Technology Fee Allocation Recommendations for 1999-2000

We are pleased to forward our joint recommendation for allocations from next year's student technology fee revenues. As you know, these recommendations have been developed after an open proposal process and broad consultation with students, faculty, and staff. The MCSA Forum voted this set of recommendations after meeting with most of the people who submitted proposals.

We ask that you approve funding for the following 23 proposed projects, which have been listed in descending order of cost. Please see the attached full listing of the original proposals for details on how the allocations will be spent (original proposal numbers are provided for each project). Four projects marked with an asterisk (*) have been modified from the original proposals, with the consent of the individuals who submitted the proposals.

A. Replace the 20 oldest Windows PCs in Computing Services labs. Proposal #1, submitted by John Bowers.
