The Center for Small Towns is pleased and excited to be co-hosting with Springboard for the Arts for the second Rural Arts and Culture (RAC) Summit “Leveraging Arts and Culture to Build Thriving Communities” June 5 & 6, 2013 on the University of Minnesota, Morris campus. We will be celebrating and learning about the important contributions that Minnesota’s rural artists bring to their communities. The RAC Summit is sure to be a convergence of ideas and strategies for sustaining rural Minnesota’s strong sense of place, interdependence, and economic vitality through innovative, artist driven partnerships.
The summit is being supported by a multitude of organizations including Springboard for the Arts, Forum Arts, Green Island, Five Wings Arts council, PartnerSHIP 4 Health, Health Reform Minnesota, and Center for Small Towns at the University of Minnesota Morris. This event will be made possible by the hard work of our various partnering organizations as well as the generous funding support from the McKnight Foundation and the Minnesota State Arts Board.
