The earth shook Friday night, when an earthquake that measured 4.1 on the Richter Scale at the U.S. Geological Survey in Golden, CO.
According to reports on radio and television, the epicenter of the quake was about 22 miles northwest of Morris.
There were no immediate reports of damage or of injuries.
The quake struck at 8:20 p.m., according to the law enforcement dispatch office. A spokesperson said calls came in to Morris from Alexandria, Glenwood, Graceville, and Donnelly.
The lines were jammed for a while; there were 30 to 35 calls counted, but the lines were totally jammed -- on both 9-1-1 and 589-1155 -- so some calls were lost.
