We were especially
pleased to have with us the first winners of the Distinguished Alumni
Award, Bruce Johnson '71, Lue Her '97, and Robert
Gandrud '65. This year's Cougar Hall of Fame inductees were Shane Pribyl
'91, retired Cougar bus driver Art Durkee, and Stacy Rust Martig '93.
Special Saturday morning events this year included a KUMM tower
dedication and reunion and the dedication of the
newly-renovated Science Building West Wing. We thank Mayor Carol Wilcox
and our local
legislative representatives for celebrating with us.
The Cougar women
got the athletic action underway Friday night with a thrilling game
against the Duluth Bulldogs.
