Invited to campus by the Briggs Library Associates, Erdrich received the 2009 Minnesota Book Award.
More students are taking advantage of the renewable, sustainable liberal arts education at the University of Minnesota, Morris this fall 2009. Enrollment at the Morris campus is up more than six percent compared to fall 2008. Total enrollment for fall 2009 is 1,705 students.
Dance Ensemble provides students an opportunity to choreograph and/or dance, and their performances showcase student creativity.

Jazz Ensembles Concert held at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 14,2009. cancelled
Ten employees with nearly 300 years of combined service at the University of Minnesota, Morris will be honored during the annual Faculty and Staff Recognition Dinner to be held Thursday, April 30.
Please join the UMM Jazz Program, directed by Dr. Joe Carucci, for two evenings of jazz on Friday, November 13th and Saturday, November 14th at 7:30 in the HFA Recital Hall. Friday night the Jazz Ensembles I and II, will feature music by Duke Ellington, Jelly Roll Morton, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Bob Brookmeyer, Joe Carucci, among others. Saturday night the jazz combos will showcase music by Miles Davis, Wayne Shorter, Mike Gill, Dan Kmetz and many more. Tickets are $4 for general admission and $1 for students and senior citizens.
University choir will perform in concert at Recital Hall, HFA on Sunday, November 22, 2009.
