Alternative Loans

UMM recognizes that not all students and their parents will be able to meet the financial burden of paying for an education, even with the assistance of traditional aid resources.

UMM cannot recommend a loan program for students. Since each student's needs are unique, students and their co-signers (if required) must evaluate each loan program to determine the best loan for their educational plans.

Alternative Loan Options Fact Sheet

Applications for these loans are available on-line, at the school, or directly from the lender. If students submit an alternative loan application, UMM will certify the loan eligibility based on the cost of attendance for the loan period, other aid the student will receive, and the amount requested. UMM will then submit the information to the lender for their approval or denial. The lender will notify the student if the application is approved and when they will send funding to UMM.
