Minnesota State Grant

The Minnesota State Grant is awarded to students who are pursuing their first undergraduate degree, a Minnesota resident and have not attended a post-secondary institution more than the equivalent of four years at full-time status.

Students who are delinquent in paying child support or in default on a Minnesota Student Educational Loan Fund (SELF) are ineligible for a Minnesota State Grant.  

The Priority deadline to complete and submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the University of Minnesota, Morris to the federal processor is March 1 and no later than 30 days after the term begins of each semester in order to be considered for the Minnesota State Grant.

Students must be enrolled for 15 credits to receive a full Minnesota State Grant. When students are enrolled for less than 15 credits the Minnesota State Grant will be reduced on a credit per credit basis, each term.
