Chapter 33 - Post 9/11 GI Bill

Apply for Chapter 33 (also known as the Post 9/11 GI Bill) if you served on active duty (other than initial training) after September 10, 2001. Be aware that, once you have applied for this benefit, you cannot revert back to a different chapter program. If you are not sure that Chapter 33 is the best option for you, contact the Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs Central Regional Coordinator for Morris, Charles Egerstrom at 320.762.4467.

Your benefit will pay a portion or up to all of your undergraduate tuition and fees, along with stipends for living and book expenses. Eligibility rates are online. The VA will send you an eligibility letter that lists your benefit percentage rating, based on the amount of time served.
