Morris Scholar Stipend
In conjunction with the Morris Scholars Award of $5000/year award, Morris Scholars are eligible to receive a one-time $2,500 scholarly stipend.
The $2,500 Morris Scholar Stipend can be used after the student has completed 2 consecutive semesters and at least 30 cumulative credits at the University of Minnesota, Morris (UMM). Students will need to have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.5. The Morris Scholar Stipend must be used before the student graduates from UMM. There will be no cash refund if the stipend is not fully utilized.
When the student wishes to use their stipend, they need to meet with the Director of Academic Center for Enrichment (ACE) for approval. Once approved, the student will complete the Morris Scholar Stipend Request Form and obtain the director’s signature. The completed form must be returned to the Financial Aid Office (105 Behmler Hall). When eligibility requirements are verified, the Financial Aid Staff will place the stipend on the student’s financial aid award. The student will receive a revised award and funds will be disbursed to the student’s UMM account.
