May/Summer Session(s) Financial Aid

May, Summer I and Summer II sessions are treated as one term for financial aid purposes. Your financial aid is determined on your total enrollment for all three sessions.

Students must meet the following requirements to be eligible for 2008 May/Summer Session(s) financial aid:

  • Be admitted as a UMM degree seeking student as of spring semester 2008. (Aid is not available if you are a non-admitted, non-degree, summer only or visiting student.)
  • Maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) as defined by UMM SAP Standards. Students on SAP probation for Spring semester will not receive financial aid disbursements until all Spring grades are posted. If grades do not improve SAP status, a SAP Appeal Form will need to be completed and approved to be eligible for summer aid.
  • Complete a 2007-2008 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and list UMM as a college receiving the information. UMM's federal school code is 002389.
  • Complete a 2008 May/Summer Financial Aid Application and e-mail or bring it to the Financial Aid Office by June 6, 2008.
  • Enroll for all May/Summer Session courses/credits by June 10, 2008.
  • Respond to your May/Summer offer of financial aid and complete all required loan documents by June 10, 2008.
