The University of Minnesota, Morris is pleased to present its third Celebration of Scholarly Accomplishments. This ongoing event showcases examples of outstanding research and artistic activities undertaken by more than 40 University faculty, staff, and retirees. This year’s celebration will be open to students and the public November 6–7.

Displays of exemplary work will be available for public viewing on Wednesday, November 6, and on Thursday, November 7, from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. in the Student Center’s Oyate Hall. All are welcome to come celebrate the academic and creative accomplishments of Morris’s faculty and staff.

“Each year, we pause for a moment to acknowledge and celebrate the work done by our faculty and staff to further our understanding of the world around us,” says Bart Finzel, vice chancellor for academic affairs and dean. “This annual event demonstrates the remarkable productivity of their scholarly activity.”

“One of the most important indicators of a university’s success is the scholarly work produced by its faculty members,” adds Chancellor Jacqueline R. Johnson. “This event provides a window into the rich array of intellectual life at Morris and celebrates our academic and creative success.”

There will be an opening reception and exclusive showing for faculty, staff, and retirees on Tuesday, November 5. The reception begins at 4:30 p.m.

The Celebration of Scholarly Accomplishments is sponsored by the Office of the Chancellor, the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs and Dean, Rodney A.
