Stress Management Workshops

Do endless papers and tests have you stressed out? Then consider coming to a Stress Management Workshop. UMM Wellness Coordinator Bridget Joos will offer four Stress management Workshops in the McGinnis Room of Briggs Library. There is no cost and no need to register beforehand. Each workshop runs from 5:00pm-5:45pm.
In addition, there will be aromatic oils and a Buddha Board available in the McGinnis Room.
Nov. 26 What is Stress? This session will focus on what stress is, how to recognize both negative and positive stress, and how pinpointing symptoms of stress will give you an opportunity to manage it better.
Nov. 29 Time Management This session will focus on finding ways to simplify routines and daily schedules.
Dec. 4 Positively Affirming This session will help individuals understand the need for positive affirmations and how to receive affirmation from one’s own self.
Dec. 6 Relaxation 101 This session is focused on strategies and techniques that individuals can utilize to calm worry and anxiety without spending a lot of time and money. Individuals will practice visualization, breathing, and stretching to assist in relaxation.
