EndNote X6 is now available for download for the PC and Mac from Briggs Library's EndNote webpage.
Enhancements for the new version include:
Can apply ratings to references
Can mark as read or unread
Direct export from PubMed
Better layout options for wide screens
Separate PDF reference window.
Email references and PDFs from EndNote directly
Change capitalization of fields in a record
Copy/move fields and keep original formatting
Remove author names or year from footnotes
Synchronize between EndNote desktop and EndNote Web
If you currently have an older version of EndNote it is recommended that you first uninstall EndNote before installing the newer version. Your Library and its contents will not be affected.
EndNote is a bibliographic software licensed by the University of Minnesota Morris Briggs Library and easily creates bibliographies and footnotes while storing citations and full-text documents in an organized Library.
