A new year brings new changes.
There are significant developments in accessing and using library materials on the immediate horizon. On December 26, a new University of Minnesota system-wide library automation system was implemented.
One obvious change is that Summon is no longer the name of the UMM library catalog. A new and improved Pounce will provide enhanced searching capability.
Changes in Briggs Library policies are also required to make us consistent with all U of M libraries. For example, loan periods for physical items will be changed and the timing of notices will be different.
Course reserves will also be changing.
Though we might experience some issues for a time, the new system will be regularly enhanced and we will update the library website to communicate the changes and improvements. Stay tuned as we provide more specific information in the near future.
