The Electronic Library of Minnesota (ELM) is a online virtual library containing journal, newspaper and magazine articles as well as information from encyclopedias, almanacs, and other popular sources comprising more than 45 databases, 17,000 journals/magazines and 340 full-text newspapers. Chances are you've used resources through ELM without even realizing it.
Recently, database offerings in the ELM suite were revised and expanded resulting in over a dozen new resources becoming available. These include Consumer Health Complete, Points of View Reference Center, Science Reference Center, Health Source: Nursing/Academic Edition, Historical Minneapolis Tribune (1867-1922), ArchiveGrid, World Almanac Book of Facts, and CAMIO (a collection of works of art from around the world). Old favorites such as Academic Search Premier, Business Source Premier and WorldCat are also available, of course. For a complete list please go to ELM.
Whether its art, education and business or science, history, politics and literature ELM has something for you. Look for the ELM logo in the Briggs Library Article & Reference Database List. If you have any questions please contact Peter Bremer.
ELM resources are brought to you by Minitex (an information and resource sharing network), your local library, State Library Services, with state appropriations from the Minnesota Office of Higher Education and the Minnesota Department of Education. The Historical Minneapolis Tribune is made possible through federal LSTA funds with the support of the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
