West Central School of Agriculture

WCSA Agronomy Class

Another special collection that the library proudly includes among its holdings is the University of Minnesota West Central School of Agriculture Collection (WCSA). Located on the fourth floor of Briggs Library in room 420, this collection represents the records and materials of the West Central School of Agriculture. The West Central School of Agriculture residential high school was located on the Morris campus site from 1910 until 1963. Included among the materials and records of the WCSA collection are the school yearbooks. Digital Photos of the WCSA collections are also included the UMM Digital Collections.

The materials in the WCSA collection do not circulate. However, there is a photocopier available in the special collections area. The hours coincide with those of the UMM Archives.

The WCSA Collection is under the direction of Stephen Gross, archivist and associate professor of history, with Jayne Blodgett, Briggs Library coordinator of metadata and technical services, also involved in the organization and maintenance of the collection.

For assistance in using the WCMHRC, call 320-589-6172 or email the archivist or coordinator.
