Circulation PaperCut Printer

Currently, there are two main ways to print in Briggs Library.

The first is using the new PaperCut printing system. Before you can print using PaperCut value be placed in your PaperCut account. To do this, go over to the Business Office located in 205 Behmler. You can then print to the PaperCut printer located at the library circulation desk. Simply choose the "Lab PaperCut" or "Circ Desk Papercut" options from the print menu. Print jobs can also be held to print later or printed to another campus lab. The default is duplex printing. Cost is 5 cents for printing on 1 side of a single page and 8 cents for printing on two sides of a single sheet. Remember to logout of your PaperCut account when finished.

The second way to print in Briggs Library is by using the Library Cash Printing option. From the Print menu simply choose "Library Cash Printer" to print using the cash printer. Print jobs can be requested at the circulation desk. Cost is 5 cents per printed side. It is also possible to print to the circulation cash printer using the wireless network. Please see Wireless Printing for specific instructions or ask at the circulation or reference desk for assistance.

Color printing is also available at Briggs Library. Simply choose "Library Color Printing" from the File/Print drop-down menu. Cost per page is $1.00. Print jobs can be picked up and paid for at the circulation desk.

Briggs Library continues to offer limited free printing via two dot matrix printers located at the bank of computers in back of the reference/Ask A Librarian desk. Printing to a dot matrix printer is only possible from Ref Computer #1 or #3. Print quality can be an issue, especially for PDF documents. If you need assistance please ask a librarian for help.

Note: Cougar Cash Card printing is no longer available on the UMM campus. If you have a Cougar Cash Card with value on it you may transfer the value of the card to a new PaperCut account by going to the Business Office.
