University of Minnesota Morris

Located in picturesque Morris, Minnesota, the University of Minnesota, Morris is a four-year liberal arts college located 180 miles northwest of Minneapolis/St. Paul and 100 miles southeast of Fargo/Moorhead. The city of Morris has a population of 5,647 while UMM has a school population of just under 2,000 students.

Built on a 100-year old campus on the quaint Minnesota prairie landscape, UMM was originally an American Indian boarding school and later an agricultural boarding high school. The college has grown from an initial enrollment of 238 students in 1960 to nearly 2,000 students, over 350 faculty and staff, and nearly 8,000 graduates.

The city of Morris is served by US Highway 59, state highways 9 and 28 and is 50 minutes from Interstate 94. Morris also is served by a municipal airport.
