The University of Minnesota, Morris campus is connected with two different ITV systems: the University of Minnesota System (UM-ITV) and Southwestern and West Central Higher Education Organization for Telecommunications (SHOT). Although each reach a different audience, they serve a similar purpose.

The UM-ITV system is a proprietary network which connects the university campuses: Morris, Crookston, Duluth, Twin Cities and the University of Minnesota Rochester Center in Rochester.

Under the SHOT system, UMM joins a network of higher education institutions in southwestern Minnesota including Southwest State University in Marshall; Riverland Community College, Willmar; and Worthington Community College, Worthington. In addition, SHOT also links all Southwest Technical College campuses in Canby, Granite Falls, Jackson and Pipestone.

Both UM-ITV and SHOT systems connect using internet protocol, and can connect almost anywhere. Within Minnesota, the connections are supported by the State of Minnesota ITV System, which provides quality of service connections.
