Are you stuck in a bog? Is your mind in a fog? The University of Minnesota, Morris Theatre discipline will help to clear your mind with its annual children's show about a frog.
Hyronomous A. Frog: The Frog Prince by Edith Weiss is a comic, contemporary spin on the classic fairy tale, "The Frog Prince." Journey with the hero, Hyronomous A. Frog, as he searches out a maiden to help him become a prince. Directed by UMM alumna, Kimberly Gamradt, this delightful adaptation contains wacky characters and hilarious action, including duels, chases, and spontaneous raps.
Public performances of Hyronomous A. Frog are Friday, April 11, at 7 p.m. and Saturday, April 12, at 1 p.m. in the Proscenium Theatre, located in the UMM Humanities Fine Arts building. Admission is $2 for adults and $1 for children 12 and under. There will also be special student matinees for elementary schools April 10-16. This production is funded in part by a grant from the Lake Region Arts Council through a Minnesota State Legislative appropriation.
