A panel discussion on the topic, "Have recent events changed attitudes toward international students studying at UMM?," will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, April 24, in room 1020 of the Science building at the University of Minnesota, Morris.
The discussion, sponsored by the UMM Sociology/Anthropology Club, will feature five panelists and a moderator. Panelists will include three international students who are attending UMM, along with Solomon Gashaw, UMM associate professor of sociology, and Tom McRoberts, director of the Center for International Programs at UMM.
Panelist will be asked specific questions, ranging from their treatment by the government to stereotyping by other students.
The discussion is free and open to the public.
