Posted by Elaine Simonds-Jaradat on Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2010
The 2010 Briggs Library Associates annual book sale will be held on Thursday, October 28, from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. and Friday, October 29, from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. in the Student Center’s Oyate Hall. A wide selection of nonfiction and fiction will be available at very affordable prices. Proceeds will support special collection development and enrichment activities.
The Library Associates operates on the principle that libraries are timeless, as ancient as the oldest recorded knowledge and as modern as the newest innovative technology. Participating in the book sale helps them in their mission of supporting the ageless art of sharing wisdom and beauty, recording facts and ideas, and providing resources for research and learning. Sale patrons will enjoy a special opportunity to acquire new treasures at super bargain prices. Hardcover books are $1, and paperbacks are only 50 cents.
Donations of unused or unwanted books are gladly accepted for the sale at any time throughout the year. New library associates are always welcome. Associates advocate for current educational resources and facilitate the library’s growth and improvement. Annual student memberships are $10 and regular memberships begin at the $30 level.
To become an associate or arrange for delivery of a book sale donation, please contact LeAnn Dean at 320-589-6226.
