Event Date/Time: Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012 5:30 pm
Location: Imholte Hall 111

The University of Minnesota, Morris will host a Soup & Substance discussion on Tuesday, November 27, at 5:30 p.m. in Imholte Hall 111. This gathering, held in recognition of Native American Heritage Month, promises discussion of topics such as Morris’s American Indian tuition waiver, the idea behind the Thanksgiving holiday, and the contributions Native people have made to society. This will be the second Soup & Substance discussion for the month of November.

Hosted this month by the Circle of Nations Indigenous Association and the Office of Community Engagement, the event pairs a delicious free meal with meaningful discussion. Soup & Substance provides an open forum for members of the campus and community to discuss issues of local, national, and international importance—particularly issues related to privilege and oppression. Everyone is welcome to join the discussion and enjoy a free meal.
