Posted by Jenna Ray on Monday, Nov. 11, 2013

Event Date/Time: Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2013 5:30 pm
Location: Moccasin Flower Room

The University of Minnesota, Morris will host its next Soup & Substance discussion on Wednesday, November 20, at 5:30 p.m. in the Student Center’s Moccasin Flower Room. The event provides an open forum for members of the campus and community to discuss issues of local, national, and international importance, particularly issues related to privilege and oppression.

Soup & Substance pairs a delicious free meal with a meaningful discussion. This month’s discussion will focus on disabilities among veterans. Those who gather will discuss the challenges veterans face when diagnosed with mental health and physical disabilities and the services available in the region.

This month’s discussion is hosted by the Disability Alliance and the Office of Community Engagement. Everyone is welcome to join the conversation and enjoy a free meal. Veterans and those providing veterans’ services are especially welcome.
